How do I remove the hover effect on home page links in the Tremont template?

Specifically, when I hover over any link on my homepage the entire page gets overlaid with a solid color. I would like to remove that and simply have the links become underlined without any change to the background. Any help is greatly appreciated!

UpLoad the first, the main image, for a total of  three times, give each a different file name. 

Thank you for the quick response! I tried that but with no luck. The only way for me to upload my banner image is by going to Pages > home > index settings > media. From there I can upload the image to serve as the background for the site. That works fine, but when I hover over any of the links the entire background is covered by a solid blue color. From what I've seen on other questions it looks like I'll had to add some CSS, but I have no idea what specific code to use...

The tremont  demo uses four different images, if they are all the same, then you can't see the changes. You may want to consider doing the same as the demo, use four different images, looks pretty good to me actually.
