Product refinement from questions on a form? Conditional forms?

Hi all

I've had an enquiry where the client wants to a series of questions to be shown to the user, each question will narrow down the products available in a database and at the end the user will be presented with a narrowed down amount of products.

Does anyone know of anyway of doing this?

Yes I did wonder if a product filter would work but I wasn't sure if this could be done like a series of questions?

I think that would require the help of custom code
