Mystery "Date" in Summary Grid of Portfolio Collection (7.1)

Hello,

(this is in an unpublished test site I am working on)

in 7.1 I created a Portfolio Collection so I can create better looking pages for a line of machinery using sections, instead of the blog. 

I set up a Summary Grid of the Portfolio Collection and the gallery displays along with the Project Title and a Date. With Portfolio Collections we are pretty limited in how we can filter, and I can t find any place where the you can toggle on/off displaying the date or even find the date.  

Would appreciate some help removing the date with code.  thx so much.

It's possible to hide the summary items date in the Content tab > Primary/Secondary Metadata drop-down menus within the Summary Block editor. Check this Squarespace help article for more specifics:

Hi Susana, thanks for replying. Something interesting. The Summary block I built was for a Portfolio Collection in 7.1  . . .  Since there is no place to add metadata to portfolio collection projects, the summary grid must be using a set of default data such as (Date + Title).

Hopefully this is more clear.  Would be great to somehow remove the date.

(A real home run upgrade to SQSP  7.1 , would be adding the ability to tag portfolio projects with all the same capabilities as blogs with categories etc. .)

I have this exact same problem!  I emailed squarespace and they basically told me it was a known problem and they would "add it to their list". 

I've had to just create a sliding photo gallery and link to each project in my portfolio. It's supper frustrating.  I'd love to know if you've found a solution or any code to fix it.
