Using a blog as a page for staff. How to direct google correctly?

Recommended Posts

Site URL: https://www.familjeterapeuterna.com/personal-1

Hi,

I'm using a blog page combined with a summary block to organize the staff on my page. This means that I'm not using the main page of the blog, I only pull the "posts" (which is a bio page for each staff) in to summary blocks, like this: https://www.familjeterapeuterna.com/personal. The problem is that google is pushing the main blog page (pasted in this forum-post: /personal-1) instead of my other staff-page where I have the summary-blocks. If I hide the blog main-page from google I presumably hide all subpages under this blog as well (where all the bio-pages are)?

Is there a way to hide/inactivate this URL on google: https://www.familjeterapeuterna.com/personal-1 without hiding the posts under the same blog, like this one for example: https://www.familjeterapeuterna.com/personal-1/johan-hagstrm ? I want people to be able to search for the name of the staff and detect the "blog post".

More in generell, is this a bad way of organizing the staff members in regards to SEO?

Thank you!

I did mine the same way because I needed a title/position hover and click through only on a few people.  Portfolio did not allow all these options.

I did a blog post for each person, then added to the blog page for the people I wanted to clickthrough.

Then I made a summary block and pulled all the blogs in with the headshots.

Your summary image should pull the actual blog page, you can't switch the link to a non blog page.
