adding a continue shopping button in shopping cart

i just upgraded our plan for commerce -- im surprised there isn't a feature for 'continue shopping' button in shopping cart . Does a CSS required now ? this is a standard feature for all ecommerce . 

You mean add a "continue shopping" (link to shop page), above Checkout button on Cart page (/cart)?

Use this code in Design -> Custom CSS

This code works if there is NO ITEMS in the shopping cart. then this button will show. however does not show if there are items in cart

button shows. great thank you--however, when you add another item to the cart the button disappears until you refresh the cart - then it shows up again ? Is there an adjustment to this 

One more thing re: cart --> Now when a sale item is placed in the cart the SALE price shows only.. Shouldn't it show the Reg price crossed out and the sale price in red next to it ? see jpg attached below. has programming been done for this feature. i find SS is so basic --these points raised should be apart of all e-comm platforms .. as basic features. the sale item is the second item in the jpg.

IS there programming so the original price and sale price show in the shopping cart ?

Squarespace do not include the original price on the cart page and, as it is not in the JSON data either, it's not possible to easily add this with code.

thank you. it should be written in code . shoppers want to see in final cart what the reg price is and what they are paying after.. plus the continue shopping button disappears after you click it once .. is way its suppose to be

I added one item -- then clicked cont shopping , added second item . clicked on cart --> then  did not see the cont shopping button .. disappeared. 

you have to refresh the page in order for it to show again.. there is a missing code somewhere ? or a refresh button needs to be included.

Hello.. i just noticed the cateogories which are sorted to the left in backoffice have disappeared .. i navigated to Design --> Products:SORT + FILTER ..and settings have not been altered to HIDE .. Still showing LEFT SIDE and colour is showing Black. Not sure why not showing ? Does anyone have an idea why ? and how to restore ?

hI.. No i haven't .. spent hours trying to find the reason.. checked and rechecked design section as well . No clue why it disappeared.

You want continue shopping button or soft + filter?

Both acutally. We had both inserted . The Continue shopping button was shared as a CSS code from Paul and the sort + filter i believe was implemented as plug-in.  we had both and currently not showing or active. Not sure if a SS update was made which caused this situation ? btw I did reach out to Paul to ask why his CSS was not not working and i have not yet received a response.

Do you have any input
