Extending the time limit for digital downloads

I have a client that wants to remove the 24 hour deadline to download a purchased digital product. Does anyone know if that's possible?

I need this feature as well. To extend the download link beyond the 24 hours (72 hours), and if possible, set a password (password protected link) and send another email with the password.
