Multi level menus

Recommended Posts

Site URL: http://listthemountain.squarespace.org

I created a heap of pages and underneath each of them I have a heap of blogs. I would like the blogs to show up on the main navigation menu. The pages themselves show up fine on my primary navigation, but I can't get the blogs added to each page to show up in flyouts on the main menu as I would like.

Is there a way to add these blogs to the menu. I realise now I should not have created the sub pages as blogs but as separate pages but it's too late now.

See screen shot. At left you can see the blogs and at right the menu which doesn't show the blogs. Sorry my site is not live yet and is password protected at the moment.

Thanks

If I have understood correctly, you are looking for a multi-level menu?

If so, your best bet is to use a Mega Menu plugin:

And then creating the nested menu level option using the markdown block like that would be brought into the folder you wanted it to:

Hi Maria,

Any luck with this?

I've worked according to the same logic - megamenu plugin from SF digital installed and then created the megamenu page with added accordion dropdown custom coding as per the abovementioned blogs - but although the dropdown accordion works beautifully on the "menu" page, the functionality of it doesn't flow through on the dropdown navigation menu.

@Mary - any ideas?
