Customizing Blog Posts

I'd like to customize my individual blog pages on 7.1 more but Squarespace has this feature locked down. The most that I would like to do is add a full bleed header image and a different (full section/full bleed) pre-footer that only shows up on blogs.

I've thought about just using porfolios but with the 40 project limitation, that option won't work for long.

Any alternative ideas?

Are you asking about individual posts or the blog post listing page(s)? Blog summaries will work for this, they have a limit of 30 posts per block but multiple blocks can be chained together on the same page. I am doing what you want with my "blog/stories" page, header and footer have things designed only for that page.

I'm asking about the individual blog posts. I wish those pages were more customizable.

This gives a very good overview of 7.1 about 4 minutes in, the first 4 are about Brine 7.0 which is the uncle of 7.1.

If you have no budget for plugin, you can add a section in Footer, design layout, then let me know. We can give the code to show it on blog posts only.
