Floating audio block

HI! I'm a building a site for a podcast. My goal is to enable listening to audio and reading a text at the same time, therefore I need to make my audio player move with the scrolling of the page. I have seen a couple of codes like this :

#id {
    position: fixed;
    bottom: 0;
    right: 0;
    z-index: 999;
}

But nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

We can make it float fixed to left/right or bottom of screen.
