Creating an index (right term?) /fixed table of contents on a page

I'm not sure if this is the right place to be asking this question, or whether or not I'm using the correct terms in the title, but I'm trying to create a fixed table of contents for my pages that can be clicked on to jump to different sections of a specific page. 

Here is an example I found on someone else's Squarespace site (right side)! 

Use a Markdown block that you would have sticking to the right with anchor links to the sections: 

1. CSS to make it sticky:

You would just need to change the css to fit your needs.

Thank you for this! I'm just trying to add the sticky navigation box to a single project page - is it possible to do everything inside of a markdown block?  Still very new to Squarespace, so really appreciate the help 🙂

No worries! It is indeed. If. duplicate the project pages so you have the same anchor link id's it will work a charm 🙂
