Change height of site header

I'd like to reduce the height of my site header. I've set it to 0 in the standard controls but I'd like to use css to make it even shorter, is that possible?

Oops, I've worked it out! For anyone wondering I had my line height of navigation text too high and that was thickening up the header banner. Didn't need to customise css.
