I assume it's because the hidden gifs are not loading as the page loads. I cut all the gifs down to <4.5mb (most are around 3mb), and I based this on a similar website in which the gifs are all around 5mb and function in the same way. I also looked on Fiver and asked a couple of people on there if they could do it and amazingly they said they couldn't 🤣 - if you can recommend someone competent that would be great.
