Blog pagination for specific category only?

Is it possible (through custom code) to target only a specific category for blog post pagination?

By default pagination links to the next/previous post regardless of category.

You mean target Pagination on Category Page or on Blog Posts belong Category?

If you don't see pagination controls in the UI then they aren't there, SS decides what you get.

The only possible way would be with custom code and I'm unaware of any method via API ( official or unofficial ) that allows this kind of control.

When you click on a category you are taken to a filtered version of the blog landing page that only surfaces those posts in that category. 

As the user goes into a blog post from this filtered page I would like that filter to stay active for the blog pagination, i.e. if the user clicks on the arrow they go the next post within that same category, as opposed to the next one in the unfiltered 'master' list. 

Essentially an easy way for the user to stay within the category they are interested in.

Curious if you ever found a solution to this? I'm hoping to do the same thing (have the Next/Previous buttons go to the Next/Previous post in the same category).
