Membership recurring payments

I'm trying to integrate a payment processor that accepts monthly membership payments with the Squarespace member areas. Is there a way to integrate something other than Stripe? I would love it if I could integrate PayPal to accept monthly payments

Is this permanent, or will PayPal be an option in the future? 

Paypal is amazing tool and so many companies have it. Why would you not offer the Paypal Here options for recurring payments? They offer it with Paypal Subscriptions. 

I had the same question. In this template I can see that PayPal is working for membership fees: https://passero-demo.squarespace.com/checkout/subscribe?cartToken=R-UooqPb4gzJFJjPlWGZWGNhmazv9t5VhOb7191N. But I still can't figure out how to enable paypal here. Any ideas?

As answered above, Squarespace do not support PayPal for recurring fees. You must use Stripe. 

Just following up, integrating PayPal as a checkout option for memberships would be a big help. Especially for those of building sites internationally.
