hmcpherson
Site URL: https://www.mckeepownall.ca/ We are trying to have our employee policies behind a password protection and then have a search function within the policies. I have created a page and password protected it and then add s search block that searches certain ages only (collections). The collection is of blog posts of each section of our manual but the search isn't working so now I am wondering if you can even use a search behind password protection? Link to comment
derricksrandomviews
Password pages eventually disappear from all search engines if they were accessible without one first. Site Search engines will ignore password protected pages, and I suspect that is true even if a search block is on a password protected page. Link to comment

The built-in search only indexes collections that are not password-protected. If you add a password to the blog page, none of the blog posts in that blog will be searchable.
