"Cannot Save Product. An unexpected error occurred. Please try again later. " I have checked in the Additional Info section an made sure a text box is present - but it still is not working. Lisanti Posted January 25, 2021 Share Posted January 25, 2021 Maybe a solution here... I was having the same problem saving a product. I cleared the cache, tried different browser, nada. I decided to try the older traditional editor, and I was able to save the product. Something's up with the editor. Link to comment
JPalm Posted January 29, 2021 Share Posted January 29, 2021 The traditional editor is far superior in every single way to the new editor which just crams everything into one scrolling popUP window. Its a poor User Experience, the fonts are too small, and it makes editing products an even more difficult task than before. Also the added bug of being unable to save products. If you agree, please let squarespace know by providing feedback when using the new editor. Instead of redesigning and reformatting things that work I wish they'd put time into building NEW FEATURES that we've been asking for for years now. Link to comment

THIS! It took me all but 30 seconds to switch back to the old editor when I tried the new editor back in November. It was TERRIBLE! There is nothing wrong with the old/current editor so I wonder why in the world they would want their customers to switch to the new editor that is clearly so dumbed down, so buggy, and offers a poor User Experience as @JPalm pointed out. If it's not broken, why fix it?!?!?!? There are TONS of new features and enhancements Squarespace could add to the Commerce plans -- features that many have asked for over the years and yet they seem to simply ignore those valid requests for features. mamamediaco Posted August 5, 2021 Share Posted August 5, 2021 Wow. We have been working on adding product to a client's website for several months and have experienced this issue MULTIPLE times. After contacting Squarespace Support on several occasions and being told it was our computer(s)/devices, our internet connection, cookies in our cache, etc, we finally found this thread. Not once did they suggest going back to the Classic Editor. Knowing this would have saved a tremendous amount of stress and extra work. Like a few of you have already said, if it ain't broke, don't try and fix it! Link to comment
