Bug? Background Image Effects Creating Blur Overlay Only

The background image effects in Squarespace 7.1 just stopped working overnight. Every effect except for Liquid and Film Grain cause a heavy blur overlay over the background image. In the screenshots below: the second photo I have applied the Zoom effect.

MacOS 10.15.7

Google Chrome (Version 87.0.4280.88 )

Yep, I have same problem. Text and block animations seem to be working fine but Background Image Effects cause blur effect. Disabling fixes the issue but that is obviously undesirable. MacOS 11.1
