Which template best serves a large inventory?

Recommended Posts

I can't decide which template to use. I have an art site. I have about 8 different series that have 20-30 sub series. So thousands of original art. I want to treat my entire site as a gallery as well as a store. All art is original and when its sold i want a sold sign to replace the price. I might have an extra shop for non original stuff. Any recommendations?

Choose any Squarespace 7.1 template that you like visually. All Squarespace 7.1 'templates' are just starting points. They all have the same features and capabilities, including upto 10,000 products per site.

In contrast, Squarespace 7.0 templates currently only support up to 200 products per store page.

Regarding Sold labels, these can automatically appear when products are sold. However, you'll need some code to hide the price of these items.

Thanks. I can't figure out how to separate the series. Looks like all just goes under shop with out subfolders or drop down menus. What am I missing? Do i create multiple shops tabs?

You can add Categories and then place items in these categories. Categories automatically create category navigation links on your Products Page

But can you create categories within categories? On my site I have Photography as a category but then I'd like to have the different series separated in some way instead of people having to scroll through all of the photography. I know I can tag them but it would be nice to have a new menu for let's say California photos, Hudson Valley photos. I think this is what Oddity is asking as well.
