Can I have a stacked gallery blog with Brine?

I was originally looking to switch to 7.1 but moving over all the blog posts feels daunting since I have hundreds of blog posts. So i am switching to a Brine template and having trouble with the blog layout.
 
My current blog on the Native theme shows a stacked gallery and the brine templates seem to all function off list or grid. I wasn't good about setting up a thumbnail image so now it looks like if I use Brine I'm going to have to go back in and set a thumbnail image for all of them?  Is there a way to set Brine to show my blog posts as a gallery of stacked images when people click on "blog"?
