LynneBaker
Site URL: https://thepuritycompany.co.uk/shop/velvet-balm?category=Body Happy New Year everyone! I'm trying to add the Facebook comment to my products and I'm struggling a bit. I can add the Java SDK perfectly well to the Code Injection page but it's when it comes to the additional info part of a specific product that it all goes wrong! I've put the specific product into the URL up there so you can see what it's doing. I've ensured that it's a Code Block I'm adding to the additional info part of the product but all I get is the code, and not the Facebook comment box I was hoping for. Please could anyone advise where I'm going wrong? I understand that SquareSpace will not help with this as it's an external thing. Many thanks for your help 🙂 Link to comment

In the Code Block, have you selected 'HTML' and unchecked 'Display Source'? If yes, it will help us if you show a screenshot of you editing the Code Block. LynneBaker
Hi Paul I can't see an option to select HMTL in the edit: additional info box, neither can I see a box to uncheck for Display Source. Sorry. Screenshot attached! Link to comment
paul2009
From your screenshot, it appears you are adding the HTML to a standard Text Block, not a Code Block. You'll need to click one of the insertion points and then choose Code from the list of Blocks. You should then see the settings I mentioned earlier. LynneBaker
Thank you so much for your help - here's the screenshot when I add the code generated by Facebook. When I hit the save button it displays nothing so I'm obviously still not doing it correctly! I'm sorry, I must seem like a complete dolt! Thank you again 🙂 Link to comment

Thank you again 🙂 Code in a code block is meant to be invisible so it does not show up as text on your page, that is why you have the checkbox to Display Source. So you add the code in the "Code" window and then when you hit apply, it should be invisible. Squarespace is kind of annoying in that it doesn't display it as grayed out or something when you are editing the page, it's just invisible and you have to remember it's there. Link to comment
