How do I sync an inline photo and associated text with browser resizing?

In the 'Newsletter' section of the linked URL, I have an inline photo next to some text. I would like the height of the photo to take up as much space as the adjacent text, regardless of the size of the screen display; however, when I resize the browser, the image and the associated text are not 'synced' in their resizing (i.e. with a full-size browser, space shows up between the bottom of the text and the bottom of the image).
