Stop Banner Image Cropping, or get a known size to design to ?

Recommended Posts

Trying to rectify some errors and "my bads".

I have a few lovely wide landscape banner images created for service pages and THOUGHT I could set them to a) not crop on desktop view, b) resize to maintain width and not crop height on mobile.

No such luck. I've tried some of the code in previous requests similar to this with no change.
I have access to source files to alter them A LITTLE to be safe for some cropping, but not to the extent as is described for the "bleed margin" in best practices area of responsive design. Any added padding to them on desktop has been mostly caused cropping awkward in another way, and makes mobile version even more worse. Moving the focal point has only helped ever so slightly.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Help.

You should provide your current site url so we can suggest a custom code for your site to prevent the crop, also on mobile, could you consider create new design to fit the vertical format instead making it full width and shorter?
