Removing Sales Tax on Overseas orders

Would like to be able to keep the sales tax on product inclusive on the site for all UK shoppers but remove the tax at product level for any overseas purchases, is this possible? It seems perhaps not reading the forums?

Is there a plug in you can intregrate to do this on squarespace?

You can create tax rules for the different countries where you ship products. You can add individual countries in Commerce > Taxes. Note that it isn't (yet) possible to create a countrywide tax rule for the United States.

So really I have to list my products without tax and have it added at checkout in that case? Is there a way of having it included in price for UK and then not included in price or charged for other countries?

Like when I shop most other websites the price listed in the UK usually includes VAT as a retail shop - unless I was shopping from a B2B site or from an overseas brand and I would expect it to be without...  

What's the best way to achieve that?

There isn't a way to do this on Squarespace yet. To be totally honest, B2B isn't their core market so I don't think this feature is likely to be added any time soon.

That said, a number of tax and pricing changes seem to be in the pipeline, so you may want to raise this as a feature request. This forum is not routinely monitored for requests but you can open a ticket through Customer Support. They'll document your feedback and share it with the appropriate team.
 

Thank you - yes it would be great to be able to show the prices incl VAT for the base country and then Excl VAT for overseas, otherwise UK customers get annoyed when they go to checkout and 20% gets put on top at checkout.

same issue for me guys..clients are not comfortable what they see in checkout cart......but Sqsp seems not interested at all or couldn't manage to solve it. 😕 any idea how shopify or etsy solve that?
