How do I tweak mobile view?

Right now, when I view my website on an iPad or on a desktop, everything looks great. As soon as I open it on a mobile browser, everything gets stacked and it takes forever to scroll down. The photos gets reformatted and it looks like there's too much text. 

My question is how do I change the code to make it more comfortable to view on mobile? 

That is the basic design throughout.  Maybe you could add some CSS to hide unnecessary text?

im not very familiar with CSS how do I go about adding that? It would be nice to have a "view more" drop down menu that visitors can click to view more text. 

That's more complicated than I can help with.
