Slideshow caption moving - no matter what I do

This is the code I am trying to do to push the HOMEPAGE slideshow gallery "caption" so that it aligns with my hamburger menu on the right - regardless of screen width. I am having issues because I work on a widescreen but a lot of my colleagues work on smaller laptops and things move and run off the edge for them. I just want the caption to remain in one place - regardless of screen width.

I did trying using on vw, vh, but nothing happned. 

I seem to be really stuck on moving things in SS.
