Hiding price on out of stock items?

Hi,

When an item is sold, how do I remove the price from displaying on the individual product and shop pages? This question was discussed in 2013, but those previous solutions don't work for me.

i know this is from a few months ago but i have the same issue. just started using squarespace so i am on version 7.1.   i found an entry from 2013 but that does not seem to work for me ( or i did not understand how to implement it not sure which ) 

anyway I need to hide the price, add to card button and (if possible ) the sold out text on an item that is marked "sold out"  I would like this to work not only on the product page but also on pages filtered with tags 

any thoughts on this would be very helpful.
