.gif color shift upon "Resizing and Processing" step

Hi!

I'm trying to use a gif with a white background to seamlessly integrate with a white site background. Unfortunately, when I upload to squarespace, the gif gamma shifts white to gray, meaning my seamless background is no longer seamless.

Here's a screenshot: White background with very extreme gray shift on white gif.

My suspicion is that this occurs during a re-encode of the .gif on squarespace's backend, and the settings on this module are a little 'off'.

Is there a way to either

1. bypass this gif resize step?

2. force the re-encode settings on the resize step?

Thank you!

I've had the same issue...I create a gif in Canva and when I upload to Squarespace, it puts the gray background on the gif. @petertimberlake- have you found a solution?

Try adding to Design > Custom CSS

.image-overlay {background-color: transparent !important;}
