Creating a homepage slideshow with text and format

Dear all, 

I am looking for some help to create a homepage slideshow which would combine the following items : 

- background images

- overlay text in different formats

- buttons

This is the website in question, I would like to have the first 4 slides into a slideshow (so that would be a mix of images, buttons, text, quotes etc.)

I have tried several methods but have difficulties: 

- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PF45Wz5dAX0 this method enables me to merge a slide with text and button into a slideshow, however I don't know how to have different sets of texts on different images ?

- https://forum.squarespace.com/topic/173071-help-with-image-showing-overlay-title-animation-upon-hover/?tab=comments#comment-413996 tuanphan's method to overlay caption text into a slideshow, however I don't know how to adjust nicely the format and add buttons. Is that feasible with this method ?

Would love to get your help and advice on this matter. I have searched everywhere but unfortunately I haven't found the complete solution yet...
