Multiple mailing lists

If a subscriber is in more than one email mailing list, and I create an email campaign to several of my lists, will that person receive that email several times? Or does Squarespace's system recognize that it's a duplicate and only sends it to that person once?

I would also like to know the answer to this question. We had a giveaway where some members who were already on our mailing address entered. We'd prefer to keep the giveaway sign-ups separate from pop-up or block subscribers instead of dumping them all into one giant list. 

Also intestested in this topic. According to SQSpace support, an email address on multiple lists will get multiple sends.  This is a big deal for us.  Please add de-duplication at the CAMPAIGN level !!!

Thank you for asking this question.  I am also keen to find out if an email address on multiple lists will get multiple sends or if Squarespace recognizes that it is a duplicate and will only send the one email to that email address.  Sending the same email multiple times does not show a professional brand and having to weed through the mailing lists for each email campaign is very time consuming.

I would also like to know the answer to this question.  I have two email lists - a member mailing list and a general mailing list.  Some times I'd like to mail both lists, but don't want people (who maybe on both lists) to get duplicate emails.  I could merge just for the send, but then I lose track of any unsubscribe requests.

You can test this yourself by creating test lists and sending emails to yourself. If you tried it, you'd see that Squarespace deduplicates before you even send the email. It'll tell you the number of lists and the unique number of recipients.
