EduardoArraes Posted November 19, 2020 Posted November 19, 2020 My company's website was made using version 7.0, now I'm trying to create a new one using 7.1, but honestly I find it even more frustrating than 7.0, so please if anyone could help me it would be really appreciated: How can I create an Intro Page on version 7.1? that was something very easy with 7.0, but not with 7.1. Since my website is bilingual it would be nice to have a landing page where the user can choose between English or French. Right now, the Header with menu is always appearing, which makes impossible to have a page like this: https://www.mannanova.com/ The second problem: bilingual website. That's an issue Squarespace never offered a good solution. How can I have pages in one language without showing the other language on the header menu, just one language? And how to create switcher buttons to switch languages? I tried following this article https://www.bradgood.net/articles/multi-language-content-on-any-squarespace-template but for some reason I can't get it right... Thank you in advance. Any help is welcome, I'm almost giving up and going to another website creator.
tuanphan Posted November 19, 2020 Posted November 19, 2020 1. If you share link to that page, we can give the code to remove header 2. You can try this guide. Email me if you have need any help (free, of course.). Answer within 24 hours. Or send to forum message Contact Customer Care - Learn CSS - Buy me a coffee (thank you!)
Kate Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 A translator is always an option, the default version from Google is notoriously ugly, but this one is not: https://www.squareaddons.com/shop-2/p/language-selector-translate If you are looking for a way to add Anchor Links, Gallery Blocks, or a Rotating Banner with Content Blocks overlaid in Squarespace 7.1, you can find all these plugins in our Squarespace add-on store here: www.Squareaddons.com -- Enjoy!
Parker_SQSP Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Hi @EduardoArraes! I'm Parker and I work on the Customer Operations team at Squarespace. Per your second question, I wanted to let you know that we now offer an integration with Weglot. With Weglot, you can add a language-switcher button to your site's header that will allow folks to switch the language of the content. Here's some more on that: https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/205809778-Creating-a-multilingual-site-in-Squarespace
