InelegantlyWaisted
Site URL: https://www.wrighthistory.uk/ Hello there, I'm trying to work around a variation of the perennial problem of recurring events. I've tried and consistently failed to embed our Outlook (Office 365) calendar. Is it compatible? Am I just being a dullard? Any pointers would be very welcome. I need to set up a calendar for short courses (one lecture per week, over between 4 and 11 weeks), ideally linked to the relevant events. Most are once-only registration for the whole course, but some are available on a "dip-in" for a single session basis. I've read enough forum threads to know that it's not possible within SS, and is unlikely to become so any time soon, but my attempts to shoehorn our model into SS (duplicating then tweaking the original event's details, labelling each new entry '3 of 10', etc.) look ugly. The calendar itself is OK-ish (https://www.wrighthistory.uk/calendar), but the events listings are a mess (https://www.wrighthistory.uk/current), and the past events section is a ghastly swamp. I managed to embed our Google calendar, but it looked horrible so I whipped it right away again. I've tried embedding the MS calendar, using a code block and an <iframe> tag via a freebie generator, but no luck. I'm thinking that I'll have to just cough up for a third-party calendar - probably Loxi or Tockify. Has anyone with similar requirements managed either of those or, indeed, to get SS and MS talking nicely with each other? Thanks in advance for any help! Joanna Fumbling, slowly and seldom surely, through creating and maintaining my first site. Sufficiently stupid to be starting another at the same time. What could possibly go wrong? 7.1. Current subs to Office 365 (Family) and G Suite (Basic) and still trying to work out which works best with SS for me. Link to comment
