Custom Code: Promotional Pop Up targeted to specific countries?

Hello!

Does anyone know how to use custom code to enhance the Promotional Pup up option on Squarespace? I am specifically wanting to target the Pop-up to only appear to visitors within Canada. Thanks in advance.

I'm thinking this could be done with a Mutation Observer. When the pop up appears make a couple of calls to ipify to get the ip and then the location. Then if not in Canada suppress the pop up perhaps by display none.

This isn't an easy piece of code but I think doable.
