Google Search Console

Hi,

I have been checking Google Search Console for my new website. I did a URL Inspection and it's coming up that my home page is not in the index. It says it's due to 'duplicate, submitted URL not selected as canonical'. I've searched what this means but can't find out what to do. Could anyone help me with resolving this please?
