prevent page from serving based on device

This is a conundrum and I'm looking for a way to work around it, redesign it, or otherwise make it helpful.

On a mobile device, our calendar is helpful to visitors. The month is presented with gray blocks which indicate 'something' happening on that date. As you scroll, you see pictures, dates, descriptions, etc., of the events happening.

In a web browser, the calendar uses thumbnails on the grid and, if there is just one event, it has the effect of looking like a forgotten photo album.

I'm curious to know if there's a way of perhaps changing the computer browser version to show the grid calendar on the left with the scrolling event entries on the right - or something like that which would make the calendar page more helpful.

Appreciative in any suggestions.

I think it is not enabled by default, you may need a developer to modify the behavior like that
