Can you sell PDF's on the store?

Hello hello

I'm trying to set up my store where I'd like to sell scores of music. The help pages say that any file type is accepted. When I try to upload a PDF a message says  'The file 'my file name' does not appear to be a supported image file'. 

Does anyone have any experience of this or suggestions?

I might sound stupid but... are you sure you're uploading the .pdf in the right section? Because I just tried and I've uploaded a .pdf file seamlessly.

or you can zip up your PDFs and then your customers can unzip the files they bought.
