Link an individual blog post to an image within a gallery page.

Hi,  I am trying to link an individual blog post to an image on my gallery page.

In theory it should be extremely easy to do,  but it seems like Squarespace made it  impossible to figure out how to do it!:(  very frustrated. can someone please help?

So basically,  I have a page with an image gallery on it.  I want to click on one of the images in that gallery  and I want a particular blog post to come up. Not another page, Not a whole blog page with a list of different blog posts,  but one particular blog post.  how on earth do I do that?  That individual blog post doesn't generate a URL link.  I tried to copy paste the URL link which I thought was the right link but it's not working.   

by the way ,My website isn't 'live'  yet,   I am just trying to set everything up first, does this have something to do with it maybe?
