Help with adjusting hyperlink font color in markdown

Hi - I'm using a markdown with styling to adjust the font color to white. It doesn't seem to be applying to the hyperlinked text in the markdown and I can't figure out why:

Hi @inunzi I didn't resolve it. Now the text is showing up white without the lowlight. I'm not sure what's going on.

Ah I think it’s because you have your linked text color on your page set to black. This happened on my site to where the linked text was red, but I could easily change it to another color. May I ask what version your on, because to me it looks as if it’s 7.0? Am I correct? Also I’m sorry if I’m confused but are the black colored texts, supposed to be linked?

Hmm I'm on 7.1, but the text in that block is in a markdown that is dictating the font style & size, including color. I don't know why that would be impacting the lowlights that are in the Custom CSS section though. 

https://www.calligrapran.com/faqs - text in the FAQ page is also in a markdown but no issues with lowlights here.

I’ll try it on my site in a bit, to see if there’s a difference.
