My website still has a password

Go to Pages and then click on the little cog wheel icon to the right of the page you set as your homepage. In General, find the "Password" field, remove the password you set, and then save.

As mentioned by @sruss76, it does look like that while your site is set to Public, there is still a password added to your homepage. It is possible to individually password-protect pages and they do not become public, regardless of the site status, until you remove the password. Here is a quick link to a guide for the reference, should you need it:
