In General, find the "Password" field, remove the password you set, and then save. Link to comment

As mentioned by @sruss76, it does look like that while your site is set to Public, there is still a password added to your homepage. It is possible to individually password-protect pages and they do not become public, regardless of the site status, until you remove the password.
