Code to Hide Navigation on Home site template VANCE

Hi there

do you know what code I can use to hide the navigation on the home site? I only want to hide the navigation not the header and only on one site of the homepage. I tried this code but it doesn't work. 

<style>
    .header-nav-list {
        display: none;
    }
</style>

My template is vance. Thanks a lot for your help.
