Lining up an image with menu, one being part of a page the other part of the header

Hello there, 

I was wondering, if someone would have advise on how to align an image on the home page with navigation menu. I have made logo part of an image as my client doesn't like elements moving, and rescaling on the home page. Even before that the logo would not line up with the navigation menu. 

I was wondering, would it be possible to overlap the header with the page so that the memu moves down?
