Create a Text block across all product pages

We will have the need to include a custom message on the product pages (or all pages if that's easier) when we have to temporarily take purchasing off-line when my wife is doing virtual craft shows or real craft shows when they come back.  I figured out how to suppress the "Add to Cart" button.  I want to be able to complement that with a custom message on each product page.

I found this in the forum, but it didn't seem to do anything.  Any suggestions:

Also, is there a way / custom code to remove All/ from the top of the product pages.  We are not displaying the Shop page on the website.  Thanks in advance.
