How to maintain 2 stores on one website

Hello everyone I launched a website for my business where I plan on selling 2 very different types of products. The first type is regular clothing and apparel for our brand, the second type is beats for songs. Ideally I would have 2 different stores one for clothing one for beats. I am having trouble making a second store because when I edit my second store it effects my first one is there any way to make them completely separate from one another? and if so how?

You should be able to create a second store, just like you would create a new blog, portfolio etc.

We have done this on multiple pages to make a store a separate language, but i do think that some options are universal (like VAT, Stripe/Paypal integration etc.)
