Hide the public navigation on a page

Hello All,

Does anyone have code that will hide the public navigation on a page?  

My home page has the typical navigation (Login, Blog, etc...) which is currently under development.  I have another page where I insert code that displays content from a database, which has it's own navigation.  Having the Login, Blog, etc. at the top is not only distracting to the application at that point, but it is also taking up real estate.  The only thing I would like to keep on the page is the Logo and then the option to insert code in the middle of the page.  If the logo needs to go away too, that's OK. I could always insert it as an image. 

I appreciate if anyone has a recommendation on how to address this issue.
