search bar not working properly

Hi, I am trying to add a search bar to my blog, but it is showing me blog posts that are not mine (I assume these posts came with the template), and I don't know how to delete all of those blog posts. Also, the search bar shows me results for drafts of my blog posts which I don't want people to see until I publish them. How can I fix this? Thank you in advance!
