I thought email campaigns could follow the site styles of your website?

I am trying to draft my first email campaign.  I subscribed to the 2nd tier plan because I believed I could draw content directly from my website into my capaign.  However, when I try to draft and automated email, the templates available are nothing like my website's style.  What's more, I can't work out how to change the font to the one used on my website ... the options seem very limited.  I am wondering whether I would be better cancelling my subscription and building something from scratch in Mailchimp.

However, as a total newbie to this, I may well just be missing a trick ... help is deperately sought and very much appreciated!  Thank you!
