Scroll horizontal/slideshow with photos link to more photos

Greetings,

I am new, just started today. Spent the whole afternoon trying to get a side/horizontal scrolling site like Format website builder. Apparently, the only horizontal scrolling is by using slideshow reel? Can i put multiple images side by side to achive the same as reel?

Also, the reel doesnt have spacing but i found the code to add it but the photos gets cut off at both sides of the arrow button. 

Once i have something like a reel from the reference site, i want to link to anothr page full of images that is big and can also display lightbox.

Perhaps  a solution with an index may help or at least a kind of inspiration... ? - I used Brine -template.
You have to adjust it of course. The cut photos shouldn't be a problem as long as every page uses the same height.

Thanks for the linking to the thread. However, it cant seem to work for me. Does this work for squarespace 7.1 or only 7.0 Brine template?
