sdritchey Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 I have a contact form linked to a Google Spreasheet for project inquiries on my site. Recently in the Google Sheet I noticed apostrophes were being added before the date and time stamp of the inquiry, preventing Google Sheets from recognizing it as a date and complicating some other functions in my spreadsheet. This only started a few months ago and seems to be added by Squarespace during the data writing process and I cannot find a way to disable the apostrophe and have the timestamps automatically show up in a date format. Any input would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
chloe.g.shepherd Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 Same issue is happening to me and it's super frustrating!
chloe.g.shepherd Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 I found that if you select the column and just slightly change the formatting (example: numbers from “1” to “1.00”) it will remove the apostrophe. You can then also change the formatting again, back to your original format I (i.e. back to “1” - but not via Edit > Undo formatting) and the apostrophe will still be removed. Not ideal, but a faster work around compared to manually removing. SS Support said it’s a known issue they’re currently working on/have prioritized
ReformDesign Posted October 9, 2020 Posted October 9, 2020 You could also likely use the TRIM function to copy the dates to a new column and remove the first character, but the above answer requires less manual adjustments.
