Pop Up Customization

Hi everyone, 

I am making a new website for my grandmothers business, she asked me to make a new more modern site as she doesn't have the cash to pay a developer.

Anyway...I'm super new to this and have been reading some posts on how to do a pop up text box. However what I have is very simple which I got the code from another kind user who posted here:

I wanted to ask if anyone can help me build on this and improve it...

1) I don't know how to change the color of the pop up and text, change the font and size of text.

2) I would also like to understand how to add the image that I have saved in my laptop? As I don't know how to add a jpg url

3) Lastly, how can I make a pop ups to have various sections such as in this page:

Where you click + informacion, the pop up has 3 windows or sections...
