Jess-7992
Hi there, I have a client whose shop requires the user to be able to select an add-on to a product. As in, if they put one of the main products into their cart, then we want the user to have the option for an add-on product. However this add-on product is not available to purchase individually. What is the best way of doing this in Squarespace? Thanks in advance, Jess Link to comment
paul2009
It's typically best to offer the add-on as a variant so that the customer selects the product with the add-on or without before they click Add to Cart. For more information, see Adding basic product variants. If this doesn't work for your particular circumstances, please provide some more details about the product(s). Jess-7992
Thanks Paul – that's great. Do you also know if it's possible to add a leadtime to a product? ie: make the product not able to be purchased if it's within 1 week of the required date? Cheers, Jess Link to comment
Jess-7992
FYI – the client is a florist, so they require a certain amount of time between purchase and delivery, in order to obtain the flowers etc. Link to comment
jessone
I came up with a solution!!! Not perfect, but it works pretty well. I created all the add ons as products. They are all in a collection. In the "additional information" section, I used a summary block and chose the collection. I used a grid option and reduced the size and spacing. I added quick view which made it simple for them to use as an add on! (can show price, I didn't). https://www.gatherprovisions.com/gather/p/classic-provisions Link to comment
